Winter Solstice Soulstitch 2024
Craft the coming year with Woniya!
December 13-15 2024, join me for this unique workshop combining nature, handcraft, and soulcraft. We are located outside of Nevada City, in northeastern California. This is our inaugural class! The first in-person class in our new location!
Winter solstice is traditionally a time of going deep and dreaming into the coming year to manifest what is most important to us. This 3-day immersive event will help you do just that, combining nature immersion, journaling, ritual, and handcrafts.
We will focus on a different fiber arts handcraft each day. Our craft focus for this Soulstitch will be fiber arts, with projects in silk, wool, buckskin, and natural dyeing. You'll go home with new skills, several finished projects, new connections, a lot of inspiration, and some survival skills to boot.
Registration includes instruction, materials, and camping fee (students can opt to camp on the land or sleep in our classroom, a 30ft yurt). A meal plan is available as well.

Our grounds are rustic and largely wild, with an outdoor kitchen for those who choose to prepare their own meals and one large and cozy indoor space where our crafting will take place. Weather dependent, we will have daily outdoor activities as part of the class. Come prepared to be comfortable whatever the conditions. December in the Sierra Nevada foothills is unpredictable. Highs can be in the mid-fifties and higher, or it could be cold and snowy.
We'd like everyone to be fully present and not have to travel on our class days, so students are encouraged to arrive Thursday afternoon or evening and stay through Sunday evening for no extra charge.
